INDORE: After stealing sedatives at gunpoint from a drug factory a few months ago, the accused were selling it to individuals. The shocking fact was revealed with the arrest of two accused in Indore.
Police arrested Rajesh alias Bhalu Pal, resident of Kushwah Nagar and Nandkishor Sunhare, resident of New Gauri Nagar. They also recovered a polythene bag containing powder from their possession.
After the interrogation, Superintendent of Police (SP) said that the accused had looted Alprazolam powder worthlakhs at gunpoint from the factory staff. Police also recovered six kg powder from the house of accused Rajesh.
According to the SP, Rohit alias Ankit Chauhan, resident of Raibarelli district was the mastermind behind the robbery and is absconding since last two months. He knew the use and value of the powder and had sold a big quantity of the material to a yet to be identified customer. The customer is also at large, said the SP.
He further said that police are interrogating the accused to know the name of customers as the drug is quite powerful and could be dangerous for them. One of the accused has said that he consumed a very small amount of the drug and was unconscious for three days.
